The Rt Hon Sir Vince Cable MP

gave a most intriguing talk last evening (20th Oct)

in the Cellar to a packed audience.  Everyone was

very appreciative of him being there

as he has such a busy schedule of late!

Many thanks to both Sir Vince and his wife, Rachel,

as it was a little 'hectic' for both and we are very grateful

you were able to make it.

We hope you were able to enjoy a little of what

Sidmouth has to offer, at least?

Our surprise guest!

Actor & Author....

Tim Bentinck ~ Being David Archer

And Other Unusual Ways of Earning a Living

with his new book.......

on Friday 3rd November

With wry, self-deprecating humour, Timothy recounts his enormously varied life, a successful actor in TV, film and theatre, a voice specialist working in every vocal medium.  Unlike many action memoirs, this isn't a succession of thespian tales of freezing digs, forgotten lines and name dropping.  This is an articulate, funny and thoughtful account of how to survive an insecure life.

Doors open 7pm for 7:30pm start

Tickets £12 (a glass of wine included)

Art at Kennaway Gallery

ARTWORK by established local artists will be on display in Kennaway Gallery for 2017 from the end of January and between solo/group exhibitions.

Gallery patron, Alan Cotton, helped launch this venture in April 2014.  Professional artist Peter Goodhall, recently appointed as a Trustee of Kennaway House, now oversees the galleries which display a range of styles and subjects.

“I welcome everyone to the 2017 season of exhibitions. The galleries will be full of diverse and interesting paintings, sculptures and prints by a range of accomplished, experienced and talented artists some of who are exhibiting their work for the first time in Sidmouth.”

The galleries in Kennaway House which is a Grade II listed Georgian/Regency mansion create a wonderful setting to showcase this artwork. Various dates between exhibitions a group of artists affectionately known as the ‘In-Betweeners’ will display a wide range of styles and subjects in the Gallery.

Entry to most exhibitions is FREE unless stated on posters.  The continuous display of work, which is for sale, is open during the week between 10am and 4pm. Exhibitions are open during the weekends, subject to other events taking place in the House.
