Rooms for every occasion

Our rooms, which have recently been refurbished to a high standard, are situated on three floors and can accommodate a wide range of activities for people of all ages. A three person lift from the lower ground floor to the ground and first floors and a wide ramped entrance enable everyone to access the building.

We have a kitchen designed to cater for 100 people, and a separate bar, both of which are available for hire.

We particularly welcome enquiries from groups and individuals wishing to run events or exhibitions which accord with the aims and vision of Kennaway House: community learning, the arts and local heritage and history.

Meetings, Training and Learning

Kennaway House is an ideal venue for meetings, training, seminars, workshops and conferences, close to the esplanade and within an easy walk of the town centre with its shops, hotels and restaurants.

We can provide flipchart and stand, digital projector and screen, jugs of water and WiFi internet access. Refreshments and lunches can be booked in advance. Photocopying is available by request.

We welcome groups from schools, colleges and universities: Kennaway House has great potential as a base for students undertaking field-work across a variety of disciplines.

Social occasions

Our elegant Regency rooms, the Hatton Wood and Amyatt on the ground floor, enable us to cater for all social occasions. The former seats up to 60 guests for formal lunches or dinners and the latter up to 20 guests, with its ante room suitable for pre dinner drinks.  These rooms also lend themselves to receptions, funeral gatherings, fashion shows, conferences and musical events such as concerts, jazz nights, and recitals.

Our Cellar Bar is available for parties, buffet lunches and dinners (seating up to 100 guests), wine tasting, coffee mornings, keep fit and dance classes, quiz nights, and craft fairs.

We will be pleased to put you in touch with our caterers who offer a wide selection of menus from finger buffets to gourmet three course meals.

Weddings

Kennaway House is an ideal wedding venue for your ceremony and/or reception, combining an attractive setting in the heart of Sidmouth, with a house full of history and character decorated in Regency style.
