Welcome to Kennaway House

Built in 1805, the year of Trafalgar, Kennaway House is a handsome Regency mansion standing in its own grounds at the heart of Sidmouth.  After a £1 million restoration carried out in 2008-2009, Kennaway House and its gardens offer an historic and beautiful setting for many purposes.

The main Regency floor provides impressive gallery space for art and other exhibitions.  Its high, graceful rooms are also a romantic venue for civil weddings (for which we are licensed), receptions for those who marry elsewhere, and other special occasions.  The Cellar Bar is perfect for more informal events. We have meeting rooms to accommodate groups from 10 to 100, suitable for business training and conferences. Please explore our website for more detail.

The house is a Grade II* listed building and its history is displayed in panels, pictures and prints in the rooms.
